I travel all over for my job and don't like to pay for expensive rooms on the road. I'm not very picky but I do expect a certain level of cleanliness. For $50 even (including all taxes and fees) I am incredibly pleased with this place. It is not the best motel I've ever been to but it is an incredible value. Every room has a fridge and microwave, a 42" flat screen tv, and most importantly it is clean. There is a little dust here and there but that's not a huge concern for me (what do you expect for $50?). The employees were also very friendly. There was no soap in my room and when I called the front desk they apologized and immediately brought me more than enough. If you're anything like me then I can confidently recommend the Budget Inn to you.
The people who own it are a joke.. if you sleep past 7 they will wake you and just about kick you our to clean the room! And if you say you don't need anything then here comes the manager to tell you to set outside while they change the towels and make the bed... I travel with my husband who is a pipeliner and our two year old son this place is not kid friendly at all!
It's been awahile since I've last stayed here but it use to be quite often from 1994-2005. Since 2005 it has changed hands twice that I know of and has really gone downhill. They filled in the pool but not completely and took down the chained link fence. The rooms are all the same and freshly painted but that is the extent of the updating. It's become dirty and has cockroaches in the room which is something new. A single is 45 a night and not worth it at all. 40 for the room + % in taxes!!! I was also charged an additional 25 dollars on my credit card that I did not authorize. When I called the motel about it I was informed to call later in the week!!! I'll live in hell b4 I get my money back or ever stay there again. The Motel is 4 sale which is why I was charged an additional fee!!
